Description
Rising band flumpool had a breakout year in 2009 with multiple hit releases and their Kohaku Uta Gassen debut. The band's popularity can be traced back to their 2008 breakthrough song Over the rain ~Hikari no Hashi~ which was used as the opening theme for the TBS drama Bloody Monday. Fittingly, flumpool also provides the theme song Zanzo for the second season of Bloody Monday. The single also comes with the side track Birds and the Graduation Remix version of Konnen no Sakura.

《Taiwanese Drama OST》Gloomy Salad Days | 2010

Description
Directed by Zero Chou (Drifting Flowers, Spider Lilies), PTS idol drama series Gloomy Salad Days gets its inspirations from the supernatural manga/anime title Hell Girl as well as real-life social issues concerning high school students. Centering on a lonely teenager and the Death Girl he falls for, the macabre drama stars Fahrenheit's Aaron Yan and Serena Fang (Drifting Flowers) with a huge supporting cast consisting of young idols and famous actors, including members from pop groups Lollipop, Choc7, AK, and Wu Hu Jiang.
Similarly intriguing is the drama's Original Soundtrack album, which contains 5 songs in addition to 6 tracks from the music score courtesy of Golden Melody Award-nominated band We Save Strawberries' guitarist ARNY. Veteran ballad singer Wan Fang takes on gothic rock and performs the show's opening theme Gloomy Salad Days and ending theme "Du", both included on the album in their full versions. Also represented on the OST, Awaking's Jay Shih brings forth his self-written love theme "Cotton Cloud", AK's Andy Chen reveals his dark side on "Let Me Be Broken Here", and Serena Fang delivers her take on the infamous suicide-inducing song Gloomy Sunday.

Description
When Gillian Chung released her debut solo EP in March 2010, it was bundled with a Twins hits package like she wasn't really ready. The overwhelmingly positive response seems to have given her the confidence, though, and by November of the same year, her second solo EP Move On... can truly stand on its own. This time, Gillian has left decidedly more fingerprints over the creation of her new release, which includes the main plug "Lay Down the Past", a rock ballad she sings in a new vocal style with lyrics closely matching her experiences. Four other songs are featured on Gillian's latest, including the electronics chain store CM song "Riding on the Waves", and The Fantastic Water Babes movie theme song "All My Life", a duet with her co-star Alex Fong Lik Sun.

Description
With a beautiful voice like a musical instrument, acclaimed Japanese singer Atari Kousuke has attracted a huge following in the Chinese-speaking regions, having performed numerous times in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and even starred in a couple of Taiwan films. He is regarded as one of the most influential foreign artists in China, and his latest career retrospective collection comes as an exclusive release for the Chinese market, including several songs chosen by his fans in the region.
Heading the 13-song selection is Atari's cover of Han Hong's Qingzang Gaoyuan (written and produced by Zhang Yadong) for which he sings in Mandarin for the first time. The track list also contains Japanese remakes of Chinese pop songs, including Eason Chan's "Today Next Year" (Hong Kong's pick), Jay Chou's "Sea of Flowers" (Taiwan's pick), Teresa Teng's "On One Side of the Water" (China's pick), Leehom Wang's "Sun and Moon in the Heart", and Michael Wong's "Fairy Tale".
Also found on the track list are Yasoukyoku ~nocturne~ (Track 7) which is composed by Singapore singer-songwriter YiDA Huang, the Cecilia Han duet Kioku ~Last Forever~ (Track 5), and the Sino-Japanese Friendship theme song Kotoba wa Iranai (Track 12), again co-sung with Han. Of course, the album wouldn't be complete without the Cape No. 7 theme song Nobara (Track 9), and Furusato (Track 13) which is featured in the film Taipei Exchanges. Some of Atari's own Japanese numbers are also thrown into the mix, like BLEACH's ending theme Tane wo Maku Hibi (Track 8), and his breakout hit Sorezore ni (Track 11) which Andy Lau remade into Cantonese for his 2006 album Voice.

When Love Comes: Music From The Motion Picture (OST)

Taiwan film When Love Comes is the sixth and latest from acclaimed director Chang Tso Chi (The Best of Times). The family drama follows the life of a teenage girl (played by newcomer Li Yi Chieh) who develops a different understanding of love and motherhood after getting knocked up and then ditched by her boyfriend. The international film festival favorite created a lot of buzz when it topped the nominated films for the 2010 Golden Horse Awards with a record-matching 14 nods, including Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, as well as Best Original Film Score and Best Original Film Song.
The Original Soundtrack album for When Love Comes contains the poignant film score from renowned musician Wu Ruei Ran (Monga), who gives Taiwan film music a new texture with his use of piano, accordion, and strings. The album also comes with the film's theme song The Other Side, which is written and composed by F.I.R.'s producer Lin Shang De and performed by Li Yi Chieh.

Around 30 years ago Andy Lau joined TVB for a meteoric rise to stardom and today he is still one of the biggest and most renowned entertainers throughout Asia. To celebrate this marvelous milestone, the evergreen Hong Kong superstar is holding his latest concert series at the Hong Kong Coliseum at the end of 2010, and coming shortly before that, a new album that he's long wanted to do. Rather than a retrospective collection of his own hits, Andy delivers a cover album paying tribute to the great singers of the 1970-90s, but it's no less personal for him, for the songs he chose to cover are those that meant a lot to him.
Unforgettable comes on two CDs, each containing 10 cover songs. “Mayonaka no Guitar” is a cover of the 1969 hit debut song by Chiga Kahoru. It is a tender, warm song and Shimatani’s version will be a unique take on the classic. The choice to do another remake was probably influenced by her release of a cover album earlier this year. Although the new single isn’t an original song from the vocalist, it’s been a year and a half since her last release, so fans will definitely anticipate her upcoming work.

Along with Selina and Ella, Hebe has been active in pop music, idol drama, and TV show hosting, and now the chance has come for her to prove her maturity as a solo performer. Titled To Hebe, the 11-track album features top songwriters and producers like Wang Ji Ping, Paula Ma, Sandee Chan, Lin Xi, Chet Lam, and Chen Hsiao Hsia, with Hebe tackling a variety of styles and genres including folk, alternative rock, and jazz. Ariel Lin - Album "A Wonderful Journey" (21/08/2010)
Taiwan idol drama star Ariel Lin officially jumped onto the music scene last year with her well-received debut album "Blissful Encounter", which yielded a string of chart-topping hits. Entitled A Wonderful Journey, her much anticipated second album is about to greet fans a year later. The album title expresses the idea that "every relationship is a wonderful journey", and in order to get a fresh and exotic feel she specially flew to London for the photo session. The first song coming off the album is called "Fall in Love When the Flower Blooms", which is a sweet pop number with a folk/country taste.

Pang Ho Cheung's Love in a Puff is not your usual Hong Kong romantic comedy, and much of that is thanks to the unique bossa nova-style score that elevated the film from a crude, profanity-filled romance to a stylish, romantic slice of real life. Co-composed by Milkshake Music's Alan Wong and Janet Yung (who also served as composers on Pang's AV and Beyond Our Ken), the breezy score is as fun and pleasant as the movie itself.

Disney's High School Musical franchise started as a TV movie premiered on the Disney Channel in 2006. The surprise hit went on to win a handful of awards and spawned two sequels, the last of which moved into cineplexes in 2008, readily embraced by legions of fans around the world. Now Disney has co-produced a spin-off movie in China due out theatrically in summer 2010. Based on the phenomenal American movies, High School Musical: China features six young idols as high school teenagers chasing their dreams in the inter-school singing competition. Audience can expect lots of dazzling song-and-dance sequences like in the originals, but with unique Chinese elements in the story, the music, and the dance choreography.
