It's been eight years since his last album, and Chyi Chin finally makes his return to the Mando-pop scene in 2010 with his highly anticipated new album A Beautiful Mind. An audacious crossover of pop and classical music, the album's songs were performed and recorded live with the Beijing-based China Philharmonic Orchestra, which has garnered much international acclaim since its inception 10 years ago. Taking almost two years to complete under the supervision of producer Chung Hsing Min, the album offers two brand new songs ("Like Mad" and "Long Grudge Short Bitterness") in addition to nine classic covers. The veteran crooner's mellow vocals promise new life to the re-arranged classic love songs, among which is the main track "Incidentally", which is turned into a duet featuring the original's singer, Chelsia Chan.

《Taiwanese Drama OST》Summer's Desire (2010)
Popular Taiwan actress Barbie Hsu stars opposite two of the hottest guys on screen today, Huang Xiaoming and Peter Ho, in the breathtaking idol drama hit Summer's Desire. The FTV/GTV production marks Ho's first shot as a TV producer, and the plot revolves around Hsu's starlet Xiamo, whose heart is torn between showbiz enterprise heir Ou Chen (Ho) and sensitive superstar Luoxi (Huang). The three leads are also responsible for the songs featured in the drama. Produced by Yuan Wei Jen and Mo Fan, the Original Soundtrack CD includes Ho's opening theme "Remember Loved" (from Korean composer "Hitman" Bang and Taiwanese lyricist Vincent Fang) and Hsu's ending theme "Diamond" (written by Mavis Fan and the original novel's author Ming Xiaoxi). Other featured songs include Huang's "Black Cat and Milk", Ho's "Masked Face", Hsu's "Bubble Mermaid", and several instrumental tracks.

Absent from the Canto-pop scene for almost three years, Gigi Leung returns in an eye-popping wild kitty image for her latest Cantonese album. The new work features a feline theme, as the talented Hong Kong star believes that cats are often mistaken to be cool and lofty, when they too have a passionate side and are actually afraid of being lonely. Hoping to break people's misunderstanding of her through the music, Gigi herself takes on the production duty for the album, which lines up an impressive songwriting crew that includes Hanjin Tan, G.E.M., and Adrian Chow. The main cuts on the 12-track album are the bossa nova-ish tune How I Wish, the Lin Xi-penned ballad "Summer Flower Autumn Leaf", and their Mandarin versions. The two plugs' music videos are offered on the Bonus DVD, which also comes with a 30-minute album making-of feature.

Mando-pop newcomer Cai Huang Ru has been dubbed an "Otakus' Goddess" since the media caught on the online buzz surrounding her striking beauty spotted by netizens when she worked as a salesgirl of tofu dessert in Taipei (hence the nickname "douhua mei"). That paved the way for the Internet sensation to get onto the highway to showbiz fame via lots of television exposure and commercial endorsement jobs. Now a highly sought-after media darling, Cai Huang Ru is making her inevitable debut as a pop singer in June 2010. The first music release from her is this 4-track EP, which contains the songs "Lucky Goddess" (the Taiwan promotional song for Japanese animated film Summer Wars), "Little Tricks", as well as a couple of spoken messages from her.

“Mainland Chinese actor/singer Hu Ge has starred in a string of hit TV dramas. Riding on his screen popularity, Hu’s singing career took off in 2004 with his Chinese Paladin song “Rainy June”. A debut EP, a full-length album and some drama theme song singles later, the heartthrob from Shanghai is bringing fans a greatest-hits album called Blue Ray with new and unreleased songs. The 15-track collection features many of Hu’s hits, including “My Love For You Won’t Change” (Till Death Do Us Part), “Dark Cloud” (The Eagle Shooting Heroes), “Forget Time” (Chinese Paladin III), and “Tell Him I Love Her” (The Young Warrior).
